Resolving issues

A clear path when a project does not go as planned.

Dispute Resolution

Start with the project record

Most disagreements are easier to resolve when both sides refer back to the original scope, messages, agreed changes and delivered work.

1. Contact the other party

Explain the issue clearly, identify the part of the agreement that is affected and propose a practical resolution.

2. Document the facts

  • Job description or agreed scope.
  • Proposal and pricing.
  • Relevant messages and approved changes.
  • Deliverables, dates and contract status.

3. Request platform support

If direct resolution is unsuccessful, use the available SkilDesk support channel and provide the relevant project information. Support may ask both parties for additional context.

4. Review the outcome

Any platform review will depend on the information available, the applicable SkilDesk terms and the capabilities of the payment or contract system in use.

SkilDesk support is not a court, arbitrator or legal adviser. Some disputes may require resolution through a payment provider, bank, court or other external process.
